Dean steps closer to her in her personal space. “Is that a threat, Elspeth? If I say get the fuck out of my camp, you do it. Or are you already completely dark side like your fuckin’ buddy, Satan?” He takes a half step back before at least out of arms reach of her; he isn’t completely stupid. But his glare doesn’t lessen.

She tenses a little when he steps close, at the ready if he should come at her with a weapon.  If Cas couldn’t keep his mouth shut about her idea (where else had the original rumour come from, after all?), she had no way of knowing if he kept quiet about her little weakness.  ”No, I think I’m just incredibly stubborn.  And it wasn’t a threat, Dean.  Merely a friendly reminder.”

She relaxes a little when he backs up.  ”Dean, you’re making a mistake.”

"Doubtful." He told her harshly. "Now get the hell out of my camp and out of my face. As long as you’re with him, or whatever the fuck you are doing with him… I have nothing to say to you.”

Her smile faded.  ”I’m only trying to help, Dean.  Lucifer is listening to me.  He and I…”  The memory of a moonlight lake and Lucifer’s arm around her waist, holding her close as he asked if that was a sign of affection, flashed through her mind.  ”We’re getting along.  Have a little faith.  Besides…”  She smirked. “You don’t have a way of keeping me out.  Not a way that you know of, at least.  And I don’t see any libraries.”

Elspeth raised a brow.  ”You’ve been speaking to Gabriel, I see.  What all did he tell you?”

Dean doesn’t take his eyes off her for a second. “What the hell do you think he’s been telling me? I think it’s safe to say that you aren’t allowed in the camp anymore…”

aharrowingescape-deactivated201 asked
Hello, Dean. How's camp life?

What the fuck are you doing here?

aharrowingescape replied to your post: Dear Elspeth,

((Alfalfa? What? lol))

((one of dean’s many pop culture references))

Dear Elspeth,

*rolls his eyes and writes*

Dear Elspeth,

I hate your stinking guts. You make me vomit. You’re scum between my toes.

Love, Alfalfa Dean

Elspeth stood without saying anything and led him outside, down the sidewalk, and into an alley.  Glancing around, she didn’t see anyone.  Slowly, she took his hand and drew him after her through the Veils.  Quickly, they were back in his cabin.

“Thank you for letting me treat you, Dean,” she said.  El hesitated, wondering if she should ask of him what she asked of Cas, to tell him what was fatal to her.  But, no, he was twitchy enough as it was.  If she made it sound like she really could go off the deep end at any moment, he’d probably try for a preemptive strike.  And she really didn’t want to have to break his neck.

Reaching into her satchel, she drew out a metal disc with a sigil of interlocking angles.  ”This is a protection charm.  It won’t make you invincible but it could hide you from Lucifer for a short while.  Long enough to buy you a little time at least.” She set it on the table so he wouldn’t have to take it from her.

"Awesome." He said flatly not even looking at it. There really wasn’t a point to it. He didn’t want Lucifer in the camp, but there was going to be a confrontation either way. Lucifer was either going to see that he was locked outside of it and probably be pissed… or it wasn’t going to work and he was going to witness their failed attempt. Either way, the plan was to assassinate the angel. Not hide from him.

Sure, Dean wanted it to be when he was ready and not on his home field. But, he would take what he could get. And if Lucifer was going to stroll right up to camp, he’d have a plan ready and make it that much easier on himself.

((couldn’t get past writers block for big plot responses. Will reply tomorrow.
